A family-owned business, Nakina Air Service was founded in 1973 by Millie and Don Bourdignon as a fly in fishing outfitter. Back in those days, it was strictly a family affair- Don and Millie did all of the booking, flying, cleaning, and everything in between. Their hard work paid off though, as the company flourished. As their reputation for quality service and safety grew, the company expanded, adding a scheduled and charter service on wheels to enhance their float and ski operation. In 2001, wanting to devote their time to serving the flying customer, they sold their camps and became strictly a flying service. Now employing over 30 people, Nakina Air Service caters to a range of scheduled and charter operations, from commuters to cargo, from tourists to crew changes, and much more.
Now with their son and chief pilot, Greg, as well as a comprehensive staff of experienced pilots, Nakina Air is able to offer that same great service. We operate two bases: a wheeled base from the Nakina Airport, and a float plane base from Small Cordingley Lake.
